+++And the winner is...+++(12/12/2000)Every year´s end brings another presentation of the popular EST Award "Bobby", which goes only to extremely eminent artists in movie, show business or fashion. This year´s nominees were popular stars such as Bob Seidel, Robert Schinköthe, Chris Prüfer, Rolf Holowenko and many more. But there is only one to win, and so the millennium award goes to Britney Spears, because in 2000 the poor baby has not even won a lousy MTV award... Gratulations, Britty ! +++Leubingen Tales II+++(12/3/2000)
He was the big surprise author last summer: EST guitarist Robert Schinköthe with "Leubingen Tales"
(in English from May 2001), a sensitive collection of tales and stories of his homeplace Leubingen.
Now, he´ll make it one more time: his 2nd work, "Kölleda Tales",
has come to German stores yet, being more specific about Kölleda (according to information of
his publishing house, Seidel´s Everyone´s Library). Kölleda, as the biggest neighbour village of Leubingen with 560 inhabitants, was ideal for the 2nd volume of Leubingen Tales, for it can refer to an unique huge history and taletelling, said the author on Saturday at the official solemnity. Further volumes are in progress. English translation will come to stores in Autumn 2001. +++Bravo Bravissimo+++(10/31/2000)EST keyboarder Bob Seidel takes it all: in 2001 he will join the BRAVO Girl 2001 competition. Well, alright, he`s got everything he`ll need for that: curly hair, a soft and gentle voice, brown prince eyes and a woo!-sexy body shape. On the left, his official photograph of application. +++Bobby movin`+++(10/22/2000) EST keyboarder Bob Seidel will now fly out of his parents saving home. As written in a press notice by his artist agency INTERPOL, he will move to Leipzig, Sachsen, Germany, within October. More information about the inauguration party at Bob@psydeco.de | ||||

+++Learnig by... trying to do+++(10/16/2000) EST frontman Rolf Holowenko got it made. He has started studying to become a sound engineer (or, at least, to pass the graduation...) at the Potsdam Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen yet. After long hard fight between Rolf and the University, they gave up. EST chancellor Seidel used a conspirate meeting to transmit the best wishes of the Central Comittee. Also good news from Seidi, he´s made it too: owning a 3000 part puzzle game, he reached the 500 part border (which, as you might know, divides the puzzle world...), in October. The puzzle game shows a 1/2 inch rubber ball inside a pink bathroom decorated with 8,517 1/4 inch dot-shaped mother-of-pearl colored tiles. | ||||

+++Fresh Music+++(9.10.2000) It is well known that the EST homepage gets updated and refined constantly. And here is another smash for you all: "Smack Dab in the Middle", good ol´ Ray Charles stuff, recorded live on July 1st at the Gera "Alles Theater" festival (true News-readers might remember), and now finally mastered for web, can be downloaded at our Music-Page from now on. | ||||
+++Pissin´ with Popa+++(10/2/2000)
That was the month´s Top Act: Popa Chubby live in Berlin ! Of course, the EST frequented
completely (except Chris, who, as you might know, basks in the Caribian sun..), for Popa is,
on the one hand, one of the major EST influences, and, on the other hand, EST guitarist Robert
Schinköthe´s absolute idol. Very quickly, both gentlemen made friends with each other, first at
the toilet (where Popa, for his body dimensions, asked for a little more pissing scope by saying
"Gimme some space, man"), later at the show, where Popa had to throw hilarious
Robert off the stage, and finally at the after show, with embraces and adress exchanges. Popa
Chubby: "You´re my brother, man !" - if that ain´t something !!!

+++Leubingen quits joking+++(9/16/2000) The message came at 1:30 a.m. via telephone: Leubingen will fight against this our internet site !!! This kind of slanderous coverage would bring the whole Leubingen region in discredit, they shouted into my sleepy ear, and the Leubingen Native Home Society, thinking about legal proceedings against us, had posted a written complaint. Well. Hmm hmm. Unfortunately, it was just a joke. Untrue. Someone had told a lie. All in all the Leubingers like the site - and that, of course, makes our pain up for the lost story of the year... !!! Those who do not understand a thing should read our Leubingen page once again. | ||||

+++Yummy: Fish on ice+++(9/9/2000) Chris is here again after one month of holiday, and he has not not worn Bermudas at all but frozen his ass at Iceland. This is where he has spent his holidays, lost ten pounds weight and got beard and a color of skin like Hardy Krüger. Therefore, the new EST fan of the month is: Björk !!! | ||||

+++EST Session+++(8/23/2000) In September, the EST will meet for a few days at Bob´s Recording Ranch in Gera to record and rehearse a couple of songs. These will be e.g. some good ol´ R&B stuff as well as brandnew Michelle Shocked and Guy Clark tunes. Prepare. | ||||
+++Swiss wins EST logo content+++(8/16/2000)The EST Logo content advertised by the EST managing committee in the October of ´99 is over. The content was to create an EST logo for the internet using the motto "100%Psysdeco". The 1st price, a guitar fingerpick handsigned by EST guitarist Robert Schinköthe, went to the Swiss Lothar W.Stober with his Psydeco Jeff shown left. It had been selected out of 10,000 logos by a 4-headed jury. | ||||

+++ROLRO@work+++(9.8.2000) While Chris is having long holidays far from home, and Schindi has to work hard day by day, Bob and Rolf are working on the 2nd part of their comedy ROLRO Show at the Gera Offener Kanal, a public TV station. The first part finised in June ´99 after 15 episodes of high quality humor. The show is broadcasted in a small area in Germany, and it has become famous here for its jokes. +++Summer in the City+++(8/2/2000) It is Summertime already, we will all get long untidy beards leaving, as one says so fine, all our troubles far behind. Chris probably will lay anywhere in bermuda shirts, Rolf and Robert will travel to beautiful Prague for a week as every year, and Bob- will stay home. Eatin´ something, watchin´ telly a bit - if that ain´t nice´n´easy ! Have a happy summer and nice holidays ! | ||||
