The Cradle
of Psydeco.
Created in May 1997 after voilent arguments in Schmidtcke's Snack Inn at
Leubingen, the original trio formed around Robert Schinköthe (guitar), Rolf Holowenko (vocal, bass guitar)
and Chris Prüfer (drums) was enriched by Bob Seidel (keys) in 1998. He virtually initiated a considerable
enrichment of the musical concept: Blues, Rock'n'Roll, Zydeco combined with spicy Doom, Hot Pepper and
Country - Psydeco was born.

Sharks at Tuxedo
After desperately looking for a suitable name, and discovering that
"The Searchers", "The Snutters", "The Smugglers", "The Skydogs"
and "The Smokers" where still in use, the band agreed upon "Das Eberhardt Schmidtcke
Terzett", a name which always causes heavy applause tempests in Leubingen, Stödten and
Kölleda - particulary among the elderly countryside polulation. For the rest of the world we
recommend to keep the following abbreviation in mind - EST.

Here comes the EST.
First of all, EST is a live band meeting the requirements of both
party fans and sophisticated concert spectators. Music and fun form a close ensemble within the
band's philosophy. Successful performances at the 'Nurburgring' racing course, at the
Gera Open Air Festival 'Alles Theater' and the 'Weimarer Bluescircus' witness the
quality of the band's unique style.
